Master Sushi Chef Rifali Almunir

Rifali Almunir began his career and made his first sushi over 25 years ago as a teenager in his hometown of Jakarta, Indonesia. After five years as an apprentice under Master Sihimato, regarded as one of Indonesia's finest chefs, Rifali served as Lead Chef at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta, the largest international hotel in Indonesia’s capital. Nine years later he moved to the United States and has served as Master Sushi Chef at eeZ since 2011. He specializes in creative raw and cooked fusion combinations, and only adheres to the strict standards regarding product freshness, quality and presentation.

Head Chef Son Nyugen

Born in Vietnam and raised in North Carolina, Son Nyugen has been an integral part of the eeZ team since 2007. Trained under our Master Sushi Chef Rifali Almunir, Chef Son has long been known as our resident fish whisperer due to his dedication to sourcing and utilizing only the freshest seafood available in the beautiful rolls and dishes he creates. One of his personal creations, The Tropical Storm Roll, has been a fan favorite since inception!
